Tektree is Hiring a Production Quality Specialist and Fabricator Near Fort Worth, TX

Our client has an immediate opening for a Production Quality Specialist and Fabricator primarily responsible for auditing, testing, and packaging the final production process of industrial panels used in the commercial water treatment industry. This is a key role that will require attention to detail and an ability to recognize, verify, and resolve production differences prior to packing and shipping in our Fort Worth, TX location.

Working in a small and supportive team environment, the successful candidate must have a commitment to production excellence and customer satisfaction - with a drive to ensure projects are completed according to order and quality specifications/standards. The Production Quality Specialist and Fabricator is also responsible for prepping and packaging of finished goods to ensure safe and reliable transport of products around the globe.

The successful Production Quality Specialist and Fabricator should have excellent troubleshooting skills, hands on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established high-quality standards. Although not all inclusive, some additional job responsibilities will include:

  • Execute quality checks of finished panels, utilizing standardized procedures to evaluate production quality to include but not limited to pressure leaks, fabrication errors, electrical schematics, and customer specifications.
  • Prepare finished panels and products for shipping utilizing materials to build custom crates and/or corrugated packaging. Ensure packaging is appropriate to avoid damage during transport.
  • Maintain an ability to understand and read basic to moderately complex work orders, production diagrams, and linear measurements.
  • Follow standardized procedures and utilize appropriate tools and equipment to accurately construct and build customized components into assembled kits.
  • Must have the ability to successfully envision the final product from the onset of production.
  • Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with internal and external customers. Provide appropriate recommendations to resolve assembly and production issues.
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and determine layout specifications and materials to accurately prepare, cut, fabricate, and assemble PVC piping components together as required.
  • Participate in product development as necessary; assemble and build prototypes and test products; provide feedback and offer recommendations.
  • Work collectively as a team committed to common production goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while working under minimal supervision.
  • Support and actively participate in all areas of production operations as needed.
  • Proactively participate in production huddles, project planning, safety and Lean events.
  • Ensure all tasks are conducted through to completion with a high level of attention to detail, quality, and product specifications throughout the production process.

Our client considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Production Quality Specialist and Fabricator position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two- five years’ work experience in a quality, manufacturing, and/or mechanical role.

Other helpful skills and qualifications include:

· Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives.

· Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook.

· Able to work overtime as required to meet business needs.

· Speak, read, and write English to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and/or instructions.

· Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.

· Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a sense of urgency in completing work assignments; maintaining a proactive “can do” approach to all responsibilities.

· Able to stand, sit, move, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

· Execute assignments in an ethical, accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform tasks through to completion.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,933.00 per year
