Job Title: Finance Manager

About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to develop financial strategies for the organization. You are comfortable handling large amounts of data, acting as a business partner, decision maker, and providing regular financial reporting. Prepares financial analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management
Responsibilities
Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.
Establishes major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepares reports that outline the company’s financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances.
Is responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes.
Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient. Will furnish external reports, as necessary.
Complete financial accounting and forecasting.
Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions.
In general, this individual may be looked to for technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems within the functional limits of the department.
Keeps the Global Director of FP&A and Plant Manager informed of the facilities performance and provides advice on all financial matters.
Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required or directed.
Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities, and maintain state-of-the-art practices.
Implement and assure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding all applicable governmental regulatory compliance issues.
This individual is expected to work closely with other department groups on problems involving accounting systems and financial planning.
Experience/Education:
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Affiliations with successful manufacturing companies preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience ideally gained through increasingly responsible positions within Finance preferred.
Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems – SAP preferred.
