Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform a complete civil takeoff from the bid documents systematically breaking down each component to establish the total direct cost of a project
• Extraction of data from the bid documents that would affect the productions, quantities & pricing of items relevant to the bid
• Knowledge of earth moving, excavating, grading, & utility installation and crew productions
• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of heavy equipment used within the civil/site work industry to accurately project equipment utilization
• Establishing and maintaining customer & vendor relationships
• Perform other duties related to estimating needs

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree preferred, not required
• Minimum 5 years Estimating experience
• Experience performing detailed water, sewer & drain take-offs
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and bids
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet project deadlines
• Proficiency utilizing Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project a plus
• Experience with estimating software such as Carlson Takeoff, AutoCAD and Heavy Bid

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• utility, earth moving, excavating, grading: 5 years (Required)
• Civil, Construction estimating: 6 years (Required)
• detailed water, sewer & drain take-offs: 6 years (Required)
• Carlson Takeoff, AutoCAD and Heavy Bid: 5 years (Required)
• Microsoft Office: 6 years (Required)
• Civil engineering: 4 years (Preferred)
