BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management a Plus. All related experience will be considered. Minimum 5-8 years of project experience in full-site development and heavy/highway construction. Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes. Must have excellent team-building skills. Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Excel, Word, and HCSS is a must. The position will require the use of a company vehicle, so a clean MVR is required.
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
· Overall responsibility for safety, quality, and budget for projects ranging in size, ensuring on-time completion and within budget.
· Direct reports include Project Engineer, Office Staff, QC, and Safety.
· Prepares project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications
· Communicate project information to the site team including company executives
· Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships
· Establish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with SDC’s mission, vision, and values
· Create and execute project work plans
· Assist the Operations Manager and project needs.
· Effectively oversee subcontract management
· Coach and develop staff
· Implement and monitor Safety and Hazard communication programs
· Monitor Quality Control and work in tandem with Site Superintendent
· And other duties as assigned Job Requirements
