Description:

• Accurately post and reconcile patient payments, adjustments, and denials in the billing system.
• Ensure proper allocation of payments and adjustments to appropriate patient accounts.
• Identify and resolve posting discrepancies and billing issues, working closely with other departments as needed.
• Review and analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to identify payment discrepancies and take appropriate actions.
• Investigate and resolve denied claims by identifying coding or billing errors and initiating appeals or resubmissions.
• Collaborate with insurance companies, payers, and other stakeholders to resolve payment and reimbursement issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in payment posting and reconciliation using EMR's
• Familiarity with insurance EOBs, remittance advice, and denial management processes.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems.
