Responsibilities:
As a Systems Engineer III, you will lead medium-sized infrastructure projects, oversee global IT infrastructure maintenance, and serve as a key liaison with networking vendors. Your expertise in advanced troubleshooting, disaster recovery planning, and cross-functional collaboration will be crucial. This mid-level role is designed for individuals who excel in strategic thinking, mentorship, and active involvement in industry forums.
  • Manage and lead medium-sized infrastructure projects with a focus on scalability: Oversee projects of moderate size, emphasizing scalability and long-term effectiveness.
  • Oversee global IT infrastructure maintenance and improvements: Take responsibility for the overall health and enhancement of the organization's global IT infrastructure.
  • Conduct comprehensive application evaluations and deployments: Lead the assessment and implementation of diverse and complex application solutions.
  • Serve as a key liaison with networking vendors, negotiating contracts: Act as a primary contact with networking vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Provide advanced escalation support for complex technical issues: Offer expertise in troubleshooting and resolving intricate technical challenges, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans: Establish plans to safeguard IT operations in the face of unforeseen disruptions.
  • Lead in-depth analysis of system performance and recommend optimizations: Conduct detailed performance analysis, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations for optimal system functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic IT initiatives: Work with various departments to implement IT initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Mentor Systems Engineer II colleagues: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Stay actively involved in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership: Engage in industry discussions, share insights, and contribute to thought leadership within the IT community.
