TEKsystems is seeking one Technical Services Specialist for a local client in the Milwaukee area. Candidates will be responsible for on-site installation of voice, data, fiber optic cable. Ideal candidates will have at least 1-2 years of commercial experience in the low voltage cabling industry and ability to work independently at times with the workload. Skills & Qualifications:
Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, this role is responsible for coordinating and performing on-site installations of data, card access, CCTV, and paging systems. Must display a strong skill level of troubleshooting in all areas of telecom and security installation.
Three years of experience in the voice/data industry is preferred
Camera and card access experience is preferred
Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable
Technical knowledge of the industry and equipment
Knowledge of and experience with reading blue prints
Must be able to handle multiple tasks, plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
Work under pressure and time deadlines
Analyze problems, propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, and carry-out decisions made
Communicate effectively both written and orally, and develop strong working relationships with others
Knowledge of hand tools, various power tools, and test equipment
Understanding of basic network infrastructure
Understanding of electrical switches, relays, and other circuit board components
Ability to travel and work odd shifts
