Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Infrastructure and Security, the Sr. Telecommunications Engineer installs and administers telecommunications equipment and services at multiple office locations and data centers. Services include voice messaging, call center, call recording, emergency notification, and faxing. Responsible for the coordination and continued execution of voice, data and cellular services in addition to endpoint or ancillary equipment as required. This is a full- time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at our home office in Albany, NY, with the remainder of the days worked from home.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Perform system software and hardware changes and troubleshoot as needed to the Call Server, Call Recorder system, Voice messaging / Auto attendant system, Contact Center, E911, Telephony Manager, Unified Communication Manager (UCM) and related systems.
Bachelor's degree in computer science/related field or an equivalent combination of education/experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
At least 4 years supporting an enterprise telecommunications infrastructure and related services or an equivalent.
Certifications in the following discipline: Telecommunications, voice/data networking.
A comprehensive knowledge of VoIP hardware, software, programming including voice messaging and contact center servers.
Working knowledge of public service telephone network (PSTN), SIP, E911 and cellular communications.
Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated project management and business planning skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to work alternate hours including evenings and weekends.

On call and work alternate hours as necessary to provide coverage and ensure continuous availability of services during business hours.
