This person will work remotely but they need to be within 2 hours driving distance of their core locations which include Quincy Mass, Hyattsville MD, Scarborough ME, Salisbury NC, Carlisle PA, Mauldin SC
TEKsystems Fortune 500 Global Grocery client is in need of a Skilled Linux Engineer/Administrator to join their team. A business line of their environment is currently running on CentOS Linux Servers. CentOS goes end of life in June of 2024 and they have a plan to migrate to Ubuntu servers. Our client is looking to bring in skilled resource who can help execute this plan with extensive skills of Linux engineering and administration of Ubuntu and CentOS and potentially has a migration under their belt. Their technology stack is heavily automated with SALT stack and strongly prefer candidates that can hit the ground running. Once this migration has finished, this person will assist in maintaining the environment but creating and maintaining golden images, patching as needed and continuing to automate as much as possible.
Modern technology is important to this organization and candidates with cloud skills and monitoring skills will also be appreciated.
