Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to underpin litigation strategies and facilitate case preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and various legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of discovery requests, responses, and associated documentation.
  • Scrutinize and evaluate documents, evidence, and deposition transcripts with meticulousness.
  • Actively contribute to case strategy sessions, providing valuable insights into case management.
  • Aid in deposition preparation and conduct comprehensive legal research on deposition subjects.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to refine case strategies and ensure effective client communication.
  • Attend court proceedings, hearings, and trials as necessitated by case requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous organization of case files and pertinent documentation.
  • Remain abreast of legal developments, case precedents, and industry dynamics pertinent to litigation practice areas.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the State of Maine.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in litigation practice.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic work environment.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and organizational prowess.
  • Superlative communication and interpersonal skills.
