Teksky is Hiring a Construction Superintendent Near Lexington, KY

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate and supervise various teams on-site. The Construction Project Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Relationship Building

  • Endeavor to build relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and material vendors that are built on trust, knowledge, and credibility.
  • In all dealings with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and material vendors, conduct yourself in a professional manner that will be a credit to the Company and to yourself.

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Effectively collaborate with the Project Manager and Subcontractor Foremen to monitor and maintain the Critical Path schedule and adjust manpower and work as necessary for adherence to the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review project progress, address issues, and make necessary adjustments.

Site Management

  • Supervise and manage the work of subcontractors, suppliers, tradesmen, and other on-site personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee all day-to-day activities on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Provide oversight of mechanical, electrical, and fire protection installations to ensure adherence to design document and coordination drawings.
  • Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.

Quality Control

  • Effectively collaborate with the Project Manager and Subcontractor Foreman to ensure that the quality standards and specifications set forth in the contract documents and drawings are maintained.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and walkthroughs to identify and address any deficiencies or defects promptly.

Safety Management

  • Be the primary responsible party for project safety and proactively take measures to prevent accidents on the job site.
  • Collaborate with the Company Safety Director and all government and regulatory officials to ensure and safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Superintendent or similar role, with a minimum of 6 years in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • OSHA certification and familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to use a laptop in an MS Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of ProCore and ability to use an Ipad a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, favorable MVR (motor vehicle report) and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • Maintain your company provided vehicle appropriately, keeping it appropriately serviced and clean.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
