Position Summary

The Department Supervisor will manage the CNC production operations, focusing on machine scheduling, conflict resolution, and workforce development. This role is suited for a self-starter with a robust background in CNC machining, capable of taking ownership and driving results within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee machine scheduling to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Review operator efficiencies and investigate causes of low efficiency.
Conduct visual inspections of parts to maintain high quality standards.

Leadership and Communication:

Lead and develop the CNC department, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Attend necessary supervisor and production meetings to ensure coordination and compliance with production goals.
Act as a liaison between shop personnel and upper management, effectively communicating issues and solutions.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience and understanding of CNC lathes and related manufacturing processes.
Proven leadership skills with a strong focus on solving problems and developing personnel.
Advanced machining skills are highly desirable.
