Responsibilities What you get to do every day: * Responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support.
* The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.
* Maintain security requirements for operation of systems * Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc) * Produce detailed documentation * Maintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS, and IAM * Manage and Maintain AWS WorkSpaces * Automate and optimize service deployments * Delivering a full-stack web application to production; identifying and resolving operational issues in same * Actively participating in technical requirements-gathering process (i.e. meetings with customers) * Executing design and implementation of application features, independently / unassisted, with minimal oversight * Writing and reading unit tests; understanding code-quality analysis concepts * Writing and debugging Javascript, Typescript, or closely-related language * Developing applications backed by a relational database; understanding RDB design concepts Qualifications Clearance: Active TS (SCI eligibility) clearance and eligibility to obtain a CI poly is required upon application for initial consideration * *This position is not open for any clearance upgrades or sponsorship.** Required Certification: Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA , or CCNA Education/Experience: * Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience * 5 years IT experience Required Skills: * Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services
* Strong Troubleshooting skills at the Tier 1-3 level
* Angular frontend framework; UI/UX design
* Microservice-based backend architecture; integrating with COTS/FOSS software REST APIs
* CI/CD pipeline implementation, ideally with GitLab
* Strong Knowledge of Active Directory
* Windows/Linux/Ubuntu/CentOS Administration experience
* Desktop support
* Domain/System Administrator experience
* Be a team collaborator What is ideal? * Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and/or Agile/SAFe * Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the AWS/CLI
* Experience working with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, or Java)
* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
* Database experience with a Postgres backend
* Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
* Familiarity with DevOps development processes and Continuous Integration tools: GitLab, GitLab Pages, and Nexus
* Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Analytical and problem solving skills
