What This Role Does :
- Position is a HANDS ON Supervisory role overseeing approximately 20 workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture molded fiber packaging trays for our community and the nation.
- Creates schedules and ensures worker hours are accurate in timeclock system.
- Assist in some mechanical work, TROUBLESHOOT and resolve work problems and carry out other supervisory responsibilities to keep business moving.
- Interfaces with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met, quality inspections are done, and make suggestions for improvement, to ensure our customers receive top-notch product! We take great pride in what we do!
Do you have :
- Two to four years of Industrial Supervisory experience ?
- The ability to work Rotating 12-hour shifts (switching days / nights every 4 weeks)
- A stable work history, strong work ethic & desire to learn / grow?
- A Can Do attitude with a proven track record of reliability ?
- The ability to work on your feet and think fast in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?
- We produce molded fiber trays for packaging and shipping apples, avocados, eggs and wine bottles.
Work Schedule :
- Rotating 12-hour shifts : 4 weeks on Days (7am-7pm) and 4 weeks on Nights (7pm-7am) : Wk1 : Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat. Wk2 : Sun, Wed, Thur (and repeat)
- This is a salaried position which sometimes requires attendance in meetings and catch-up work outside of normal scheduled hours.
Required :
- 2-4 years of Industrial Supervisory experience.
- Ability to work the rotating schedule.
- Experience with supervising Union workers is a plus!
