TekCom Resources is looking for a telecommunications Project Manager in the Houston, Texas area. This is a 12 month contract role working 4 days in office, 1 day from home. 
Our client is an established tier one vendor with a national presence and 25 years of experience owning and operating network assets. To date, they have an expansive amount of route miles of fiber and small cells on air/under contract.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for project leadership across all designated projects with a focus on associated finances and project schedule which includes coordinating all deliverables and requirements across a broad cross-functional project team. You will verify all projects are completed according to the underlying customer contract and agreed-upon timelines while complying with our client’s code of conduct, policies, and procedures. This role requires a clear and concise understanding of all project management principles: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, Controlling, and Closing.
Responsibilities:
• Understand customer scope of work, goals, project timelines, and expected run rates
• Drive resource and logistical needs to stay ahead of project requirements
• Attend deployment customer meetings as a subject matter expert (SME) for our client
• Ensure client and customer systems are maintained with accurate and reportable data
• Report project status against commitments and keep all stakeholders informed
• Resolve conflicts and drive issue resolution with all stakeholders
• Own financial accountability across all individuals and collection of assigned projects
• Manage risk, actions, issues, dependencies, scope creep and other work order changes according to contractual practices
• Escalate issues through internal lines of business and with customer management hierarchy

Education/Certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements 
• Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience
• Experience managing project budgets or related financial experience
• Customer-facing project management experience a plus
