PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Performs all tasks necessary for processing production and aftermarket canned motor pumps at Teikoku USA’s Warminster, PA facility. This includes but is not limited to pump receipt, disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, testing, and shipment of all Teikoku USA product lines.

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a general knowledge of 1) estimating time and materials for machine jobs, 2) materials and the quality and machinability carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, and other materials, 3) machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance, 4) design techniques, tools and principals involved in the production of precision machined parts, as well as pump assembly and test.

This position’s primary station will be in the aftermarket service area but will have regular assignment to other, assembly, test, and engineering test laboratory as required by workload and business conditions.

This vital position requires frequent interface with various disciplines and working groups throughout the company and requires excellent teamwork, communication skills, and work flexibility.

PRIMARY DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reads sales orders, job travelers, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics to complete required work.
• Utilizes various mechanics tools and dimensional measurement equipment to fully disassemble, inspect, and reassemble canned motor pumps per specifications.
• Uses rigging and lifting equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes to safely handle heavy materials and equipment.
• Performs testing on pumps including, but not limited to hydrostatic, hydraulic, thrust balance, and NPSH testing.
• Sets up, uses, and disassembles temporary tube and pipe assemblies consisting of threaded and flanged connections up to 18” for use in performing the above tests.
• Installs three phase low voltage(230-575VAC) power to pump motors and performs various other AC and DC voltage electrical assembly and testing tasks.
• Uses various types of test measurement equipment including but not limited to power analyzers, multimeters, insulation resistance meters, temperature and pressure transducers, pressure gages, flow meters, and thrust rigs.
• Compares results with specifications and confers with engineering, service, and manufacturing personnel to resolve problems.
• Takes direction and works cohesively with various working teams as required.

• Performs final assembly and test functions as required.
• Uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
• Fabricates and shapes items such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
• Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Ability to track parts and jobs in EPICOR ERP system.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• Inspects and tests equipment to locate damaged or worn parts and assist in the diagnosis of malfunctions.
• Ability to fill out service addendum and understand bills of material.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:

• 3-5 years related experience (Journeymen certification preferred)
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of EPICOR ERP system and Microsoft Office a plus
