As a Collections Specialist (internally referred to as a Resolution Specialist), you will assist in preserving the credit union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts and negative balances, collecting delinquent payments, and recovering collateral. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6:15pm, as needed, with approximately 1 Saturday per month 
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

• 1-2 years of similar or related collections experience OR 1-2 years in a bank or credit union, with a desire to work in collections
• Associates degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
• Excellent phone communication and customer service skills
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software
• Experience performing Skip Tracing functions a plus
• Experience with Chexsystems a plus

What You’ll Do as the Collections Specialist (Responsibilities):

• Contact delinquent and negative accounts by phone, mail, or in person
• Handle incoming calls; speak with members and employees to answer questions and resolve problems
• Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers
• Take appropriate action to bring account current/positive and to protect credit union assets
• Perform clerical functions and attorney follow up for Bankruptcy filings
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity
• Perform Skip Tracing functions
• Process death/disability/gap claims and consumer credit disputes
• Charge off negative account balances; post recoveries to charged off accounts

Pay: $19 - $23 / hour, plus monthly bonus incentives!
