TEEMA Solutions is currently seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team for a rewarding long-term contract opportunity at a reputable corrections facility in Soledad, California. This position offers an excellent pay rate of $54/hr with a portion being approved for stipend pay.
Requirements:
- Valid California Psychiatric Technician license
- Minimum one year of Licensed Psychiatric Tech LPT experience
- Passion for serving the underserved population
Schedule:
This is a full-time position offering a 40-hour work week, distributed across 5 days. We have various schedules available, including day and evening overnight shifts, to accommodate your preferences and work-life balance needs.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay rate: $54/hr ($10/hr of this total paid in stipend)
- Weekly pay cycle
Responsibilities:
a. Provide fundamental behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental or developmental disabilities.

b. Conduct daily clinical rounds and closely monitor patients displaying signs and symptoms of mental illness.
c. Administer psychiatric nursing procedures, including medication administration, treatments, hypodermic injections, vital sign monitoring (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration), and other basic nursing procedures within the scope of licensure, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD).
d. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of the Treatment Team to develop treatment plans and objectives based on assessments, contributing to an overall treatment program for patients.
e. Assist in the development of group and individual therapy programs and actively facilitate group therapy sessions for patients.
f. Serve as a liaison between custody personnel and patients with mental or developmental disabilities, actively participating in their management and care.
g. Observe and report significant changes in patients' physical condition and behavior.
h. Coordinate and arrange clinical appointments, ensuring patients are present for their scheduled appointments.
i. Provide assistance in emergency situations, including performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and administering first aid when necessary.
j. Thoroughly and accurately complete all required documentation procedures as mandated by the organization.
k. Contribute to creating a secure, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
