The company serves a worldwide customer base from four manufacturing facilities located in Baraboo, WI. About the Role This role will be working 3pm-11pm Monday through Friday. The Tool Maker is responsible for analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, setting up and operating machine tools (Lathe & Mills). Fitting and assembling parts to make and repair extrusion tooling, equipment parts, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and use machinist’s hand tools to deliver a part to the customers print specification. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Operates various Machine Tools (Mill, Lathe, Wire EDM Grinder). Creates precision Tooling/Components for use in Extrusion Tooling and or production equipment. Refurbishes existing tools as requested. Flexible within the workday and easily transition from one project to the next. Displays a high level of attention to detail in reading plans and designs. Takes direction from Lead Tool Maker for various tasks. Additional project as assigned by supervisor. What You Need:High School diploma and or Journey Worker Certificate in the applicable field. 3 or more years of experience with tight tolerance tool making. Training and experience with Solidworks and MasterCAM. Knowledge of inventory and order management software. Ability read and interpret prints/drawings. Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail. Experience in machining or shop environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Proficient at using of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Travel Requirements – Valid Driver’s License to travel between buildings if required .
