Title : Lead Bartender
Pay range : 3 months training minimum after depending on skill
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years craft cocktail. Whiskey bar will have better changed.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Bartender to join our dynamic team and take charge of our bar operations. The Lead Bartender will be responsible for not only creating exceptional cocktails and providing outstanding service but also for supervising and guiding the bartending staff to ensure smooth operations, a welcoming atmosphere, and an unforgettable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Creation: Design and craft innovative and classic cocktails using a wide range of spirits, mixers, and garnishes, catering to diverse customer preferences.
  • Quality Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, suggesting personalized drink recommendations, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee the bartending team, including training, scheduling, and task assignment to ensure consistent service quality and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and place orders to ensure that the bar is adequately stocked with supplies, ingredients, and beverages.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with management to develop and update beverage menus, taking into consideration current trends, seasonal ingredients, and customer feedback.
  • Guest Interaction: Build strong relationships with patrons, creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all aspects of the bar, including workstations, glassware, equipment, and service areas.
  • Training and Development: Train new bartenders on company policies, service standards, and cocktail preparation techniques, fostering a knowledgeable and skilled team.
  • Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, finding effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bartending activities comply with local alcohol regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Upselling: Encourage upselling by recommending premium beverages, special promotions, and food pairings to enhance the overall guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate seamless service and create a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale establishment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and beverage trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
