POSITION SUMMARY :

The warehouse assistant / driver is responsible for receiving and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, general cleaning and maintenance around the yard.

A successful warehouse assistant / driver is self-motivated, organized and detail oriented. You should be able to work in a team environment while also having the ability to work unsupervised.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receiving incoming deliveries.
• Clean and maintain yard area and warehouse.
• Inventory management.
• Organizing warehouse space.
• Work outside in all types of weather.
• Staging of materials for work crews.
• Loading and unloading work trucks.
• Delivery of materials to work crews.

JOB SPECIFICATION :

Education / Experience :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Driver’s license.
• DOT Card preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Work is performed while standing, sitting and / or walking.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
• Climb ladders of various heights
