POSITION OVERVIEW
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical:
- An active participant in the execution of prioritized IT projects.
- Operates, maintains and supports IT infrastructure, systems, and services.
- Develops and maintains the use of automation to address reoccurring tasks.
- Assists IT with ongoing incidents, fires, or other IT emergencies.
- Maintains IT documentation on IT systems, services, and infrastructure.
- Participant in IT on-call rotation.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site 20% of the time.
- Leadership:
- Assists System Administrators with IT support efforts when asked or needed.
- Communication:
- Provides status updates on progress of ongoing IT projects with clarity and frequency.
- Ask clarifying or scoping questions of assigned IT projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum experience of 1 year developing and maintaining monitoring and alerting strategies for infrastructure and SaaS offerings
- Minimum experience of 3 years of networking administration including DNS, IP, Firewall, Routing and Load-Balancing
- Knowledge of the Public Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across the organization
PREFERRED SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Minimum experience of 1 year working with CNCF projects including Kubernetes, Grafana, Helm, Prometheus, CNI, or KEDA (or similar technologies)
- Minimum experience of 3 years of Linux Server Administration
