TechServ Engineering & Consulting, LTD is Hiring a Project Associate I Near Tyler, TX

General Summary: The Project Assistant is an entry-level position that will assist project teams with project, financial health, and project scheduling systems for engineering related projects. This position coordinates with internal project management to provide solutions in the execution of project needs within the budget and schedule. This position supports engineering and design projects by assisting the Project Managers and Coordinators in providing administrative project information as requested.

Essential Functions:

  1. Use CAD Related Software for Client project requirements.
  2. Work with Project Managers and Project Coordinators in administrative functions.
  3. Assist with the set-up of projects in applicable project management systems.
  4. Assisting with project scheduling activities and deliverables.
  5. Assist with the maintenance of the budget tracking system and reporting project status.
  6. Assist with organizing and maintain project files and client deliverables and project communications.
  7. Responsibility for accurate data entry on projects.

This description is a general statement of required essential functions performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not exclude other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED, required.
  • College degree or some college course, preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to Project Managers, Engineers and Designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Works in a routine office environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
  • Travel may be required
