**We are currently hiring (Part-Time) TEST TECHNICIAN/DRIVERS:**

***These positions require:***

**A valid Driver's License*

**A clean driving record (minimum of 5 years)*

**A minimum of 5 years driving experience*

**Must be willing to provide a 10-year Motor Vehicle Record*

**JOB DESCRIPTION/SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Safely operate test vehicles in a wide range of testing conditions including Tire Wear Testing and OEM component development testing. Testing to be performed on public roads in the Greenville area.

* Safely perform vehicle repair and technical test services per written instruction.

* Prepare vehicle for test, monitor vehicle performance for compliance with test schedule, assure all vehicle functions and components are operating as required.

* Ballast, calibrate components including alignment of wheels/tires, balance and wheel/tire configuration, inspection, measure, record and communicate key performance criteria via written and electronic means.

* Drive in various conditions including heavy city traffic, highway and mountain areas.

* Collect data through various methods and communicate same in accordance with customer protocol

* Other duties as requested

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

Safety:

* In all activities, follows policies and takes ownership for working safely to avoid risks to themself and others.

* Minimum of 5 years of automotive mechanical experience with vehicle tire, wheel and alignment experience.

* Safety Sensitive position requiring all persons assigned to activity be drug free. Alcohol consumption not permitted 8 hours prior to the beginning of the start of shift.

* Able to safely operate rotating machinery, mount, dismount vehicle tire and wheel assemblies.

* May support training of others on alignment and tire/wheel equipment.

* Document near misses, make suggestions for reduction of risk exposure and communicate all damage to vehicle including scrapes, dings etc. Participate and support corrective action plans as requested.

Physical:

* Must be able to lift 90 lbs.

* Manual dexterity sufficient to perform delicate vehicle chassis adjustments and modifications.

* ***Tire testing requires a significant level of manual labor to remove, dismount, measure, remount, balance and replace tire on vehicles. Individuals with physical conditions limiting their ability to perform these functions are not suited for this type of work.***

Interpersonal:

* Able to work cooperatively in diverse & challenging environment. Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Flexible and receptive to new requests.

Education:

* GED, High School Diploma, Trade School, or Degree in related curriculum preferred.

Schedule:

* **2nd Shift** . Able to adjust work schedule and work overtime as necessary.

* Travel as necessary to support testing projects.

* Part-Time position may work up to 40 hours per week for period when project workload requires.
