TECHNOLOGENT is Hiring a Cybersecurity Architect Near Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a senior-level Cybersecurity Architect to join our team in Phoenix or Las Vegas. Ideal candidate will have a pre-sales background along with extensive SIEM, SOAR and Automation experience at a SeniorArchitect level.

Job Summary: The person hired for the position of Cybersecurity Architect will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing cybersecurity solutions within our organization's customer portfolio. As this is primarily a pre-sales role, this person is a reliable subject matter expert, and an excellent communicator, both written and verbally. This role is crucial for protecting sensitive data and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our customers' information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive architectural solutions that meet security requirements, addressing and mitigating security risks.
  • Collaborate with customers to integrate security controls with existing infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
  • Lead security projects from design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  • Identify integration issues and develop solutions to these problems.
  • Consult with colleagues on secure practices, and provide technical guidance and leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
Ideal candidate should have solid experience andor familiarity with the following:

Technical Expertise
  • Security Architecture Design : Ability to design secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security solutions.
  • Cloud Security : Proficiency in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud security models.
  • Network Security : Deep understanding of network protocols, network security solutions, and technologies like SSL/TLS, IPsec, and secure network design principles.
  • Application Security : Knowledge of secure coding practices, vulnerability management, and application security testing (SAST, DAST).
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) : Experience in designing and implementing IAM frameworks, including SSO, MFA, and RBAC.
  • Endpoint Security : Skills in securing endpoints, including mobile devices, desktops, and laptops, through antivirus, EDR, and MDM solutions.
  • Incident Response : Experience in developing and executing incident response plans, conducting forensic analysis, and understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge : Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Threat Analysis : Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize threats to the organization.
  • Risk Management : Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and implementing risk mitigation measures.
  • Security Metrics and Reporting : Capability to develop and interpret security metrics, and communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
Leadership and Management Skills
  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to align security initiatives with business goals and create long-term security strategies.
  • Vendor Management : Ability to evaluate and manage relationships with security vendors and service providers.
Communication Skills
  • Technical Communication : Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear, concise documentation.
  • Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other teams, business units, and executive leadership.
  • Presentation : Strong speaking and the presentation of complex technical solutions is a base requirement. This position will necessitate public speaking.
Other Desired Expertise:
  • Gaming andor MediaEntertainment industry experience
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, etc.
  • Microsoft Security
  • Splunk, SUMO, Elastic, etc.
  • Ansible or other automation platforms
Certifications and Education
  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) are desired.
The position will require the candidate to reside in the Phoenix or Las Vegas area and must be able to commute to our office as needed. Annual Salary will depend on experience. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.
