Position Summary
The Supply Technician performs all aspects of technical supply management work (i.e., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, Data entry, etc.) related to depot, local, or other supply activities utilizing systems such as the Inventory System Management (ISM), and the Mobility Individual Control Accountability System (MICAS). This work may require consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. The Supply Technician establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, accounting, and supply reports to include but, not limited to receiving, issuing, exchange and classification as it pertains to Individual Clothing records, and Individual Protective Equipment (IPE). Work requires compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), End User Manuals, and system policies, as well as adherence to all safety policies. In addition to compliance with all local/federal laws, policies, and procedures. This work includes daily stock control functions and maintaining communication with all customers (unit representatives) to include Supervisors, and Management. This position entails establishing and maintaining files in accordance with the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) as well as corporate requirements, maintaining accountability, for all items/equipment records entrusted to the Central Issue Facility (CIF) to include Individual Chemical Equipment Management Program (ICEMP). The position may require the operation of a forklift and or 5-ton truck for movement of equipment between locations. This work is extremely customer service oriented and requires the capability to short range plan, analyze, and the ability to understand the mission of the units we support. This position requires a good working knowledge of running a stock control and Logistic Information System - LIS supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Candidate must be able to conduct research on documents and be familiar with all applications within the Logistics Information Warehouse. Systems used outside of what was mentioned above include but are not limited to FEDLOG, WebFLIS, etc. The Supply technician will perform other duties as assigned.
