If so, we want to talk to you about an exciting Capture Manager opportunity that will drive Technica’s aggressive growth strategy forward!

Technica Corporation is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, self-directed individual to fill the role of Capture Manager. This position will assist our BD and Innovations team in handling various capture requests to include SIBR, OTA, etc., finding teaming partners, and providing a centralized service in managing all business pursuits. The role will assist in identifying and qualifying opportunities and structuring winning teams for Technica’s DoD and other federal agency new business opportunities. The successful candidate will have experience across a wide range of DoD accounts, will have led multiple successful captures and be able to work independently to get the work done.

The position will be located in Sterling, VA and may be able to support a limited hybrid work schedule. The final approved work schedule arrangement will be coordinated with the hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain key business relationships in the DoD marketplace to capture new programs and grow existing contracts.
  • Work with Business Development leads and account teams to generate and maintain extensive knowledge of current developments in target accounts and related DoD offices to assess current and upcoming needs to identify and shape opportunities.
  • Manage the capture process for non-traditional RFPs, to include SBIR, OTA opportunities.
  • Identify and secure key industry partners that support new business pursuits, as well as strategic subcontract opportunities aligned to Technica’s technology and capabilities.
  • Conduct competitive assessments including Price-to-Win analysis and present to executive management.
  • Work with BD and Innovations team to develop value propositions through program strategies, supporting business cases and project plans.
  • Develop early win strategies and evolve the strategy throughout the capture lifecycle.
  • Partner with the proposal team to develop winning proposals with a focus on strengths-based solutions development.
  • Strengthen key vendor, supplier and partner alliances and bring new products/solutions capability into the company’s portfolio.
  • This position may require travel of 10%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years of overall experience in related fields with 5 years of capture, business development, or related experience
  • Proven successful DoD contract capture experience working the entire capture process- to include team building, developing win themes, procurement influence, and strategic positioning.
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition regulations and processes
  • Conversant in areas of cyber security, AI/ML, applications development, and related DoD mission sets
  • Proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills required to identify/shape opportunities and develop value propositions.
  • Experience with engineering services level of effort determination, competitive analysis, and project pricing-to-win.
  • Prior experience interacting and presenting to all levels of personnel – executive leadership, management, technical and administrative.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
