As a Maintenance Technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing of quality parts in designated departments. Responsibilities include set-up, maintenance, and repair of processing equipment with a focus on timely and safe execution. Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform all required equipment repairs, preventative maintenance items and new installations as required in a timely and safe manner throughout facilities
• Identify issues with mechanical devices in operation to pinpoint sources of problems
• Disassemble machinery, replacing defective parts as necessary
• Responds to questions and requests, offering information on mechanical maintenance
• Advance skills and abilities through on the job training and off-site formal training as required
• All time on jobs will be recorded appropriately using the bar code system and meet productivity goals set by supervisor
• All documentation (maintenance repair orders, preventative maintenance sheets, logs, etc.) will be legibly completed as appropriate, using proper correction process when necessary
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications Required:

· Must be a US citizen, no dual citizenship

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

· 1-3 years’ work experience is required

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

· Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

· Positive attitude, adaptability and a willingness to learn

· Ability to trouble shoot

Qualifications Preferred:

· Manufacturing, production or chemical work experience is preferred

· Knowledge of metal finishing techniques and plating processes

• Prior experience as an electrician, pipefitter, welder, or general maintenance technician is preferred. However, we are willing to train and mentor individuals who have a strong desire to learn
• We are also looking for individuals with Boiler experience. Certifications are a plus.
• Prior metal finishing experience including rectifiers and plating systems are a plus
• Tools provided by Techmetals.
• Shift premiums above hourly base pay: 12% for 2nd shift, 8% for 3rd shift

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, bend, twist, reach overhead and climb stairs.
• Must have visual acuity to see computer screens and other essential components of job.
• Must have adequate hearing to safely observe emergency announcements, communicate effectively in person and over the phone and observe any change in equipment sounds.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. In certain jobs and areas, these frequencies can vary.
• Willingness to work in a production floor environment, which has a certain dress code and personal protective equipment requirements. There are uniform options available.
• Normal shop environment requires the use of ANSI approved safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection or other PPE as appropriate.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department in the Techmetals facilities

· Must have pulmonary fitness and capacity to be able to wear a respirator occasionally

What daily task could I do in this position?

• As part of your role, you will be responsible for various tasks. These include the installation of new equipment and production lines, as well as the repair and retrofitting of existing plumbing and electrical systems. Additionally, you will be involved in installing and maintaining pumps, filters, boilers, chillers tanks and related equipment used in metal finishing processes. Other tasks include problem solving, welding, fabrication, preventive and predictive maintenance Problem solve issues in a timely manner, with or without assistance from others.
• We provide training on our computerized maintenance management system (EMAINT), which effectively tracks time, work orders, productivity, preventive maintenance schedules, inventory, and assets.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of systems and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. You will also have formal training opportunities in boilers, chillers, rectifiers, PLC's, VFD's and other equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functionality and identify potential issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, propose and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to coordinate and prioritize work orders.
• Continuously develop skills and knowledge of maintenance practices and techniques to stay up-to-date with industry standards.
• Be aware of surrounding area to maintain safe & organized environment
• Work in team setting to complete multiple tasks and goals as assigned.
• Work independently as needed to complete tasks in a timely and safe manner
• Work to achieve productivity, quality, and schedule goals.
• Participate in and provide input on how to improve task being performed.
• Each area or department may require additional tasks as appropriate.
