About the Role

We are searching for remote Senior Software Engineers who want to help us grow our workforce. Our team is responsible for the design and development of cloud-native AI diagnostics applications. We are passionate about making a difference in the medical field by creating tools to help pathologists receive accurate results faster, which helps patients receive the treatment they need.

We are looking for candidates to work on one of our Web development projects.

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• 4 years experience with a BS in Computer Science

• Excellent coding skills with ReactJS or something similar for web development, and Google Go, NodeJS, Python, or something similar for backend development
• Experience with asynchronous programming
• Ability to work on remote Linux systems
• Current with modern dev tools and methodologies such as agile development, git, bug trackers, team chats, and co-workers in offsite locations
• Ability to optimize complex systems to improve speed, reliability, or cost
• Experience with testing methodologies
• Be authorized to work in the United States

These skills are desired for some positions but are not required:

• Ability to interface with SQL databases
• Willingness to work with docker (previous experience is a plus)

We improve the work environment for our users, improve the accuracy of tests, and lower costs and turnaround times for the healthcare system. We push new innovation in technology, workflow, and regulations to make the healthcare system the best it can be. We have already improved accuracy in laboratory testing that has prevented misdiagnoses, and we are striving to do more.

Challenging Hard Problems

We need to analyze gigagbytes of images in the cloud in only a few minutes while staying reliable and accurate. Major challenges include transferring, processing, and storing terabytes of data; creating queuing systems that balance turnaround times with costs; and building a pipeline around machine learning models that meet the accuracy requirements of human healthcare.

Work from Home

While we do have offices available for use, the majority of our workforce spends most, if not all, of their time working from the comfort of their home. Every team member has a daily standup meeting to touch base with their team and a monthly all hands meeting for the whole company to get updates. Additional meetings are created as needed, and the majority are impromptu.

There may be some occasional travel to possible study sites which we foresee being less than 5% of the time.
