Teasdale Latin Foods is Hiring a Sanitation Technician - 3rd Shift Near Carrollton, TX
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions of the manufacturing equipment, all plant food processing areas, and overall facilities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Clean manufacturing equipment and floors when lines go down for the night.
- Inspect equipment for cleanliness.
- Removal of trash from production areas to outside waste dumpsters and recycling containers (this includes changing out of trash bags, sludge drums, and breaking down of boxes)
- Maintain floors and drains in food processing areas
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize lids, rings, utensils and small miscellaneous containers
- Practice Good Manufacturing Procedures while performing job functions
- Keep accurate and legible records.
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience working in a sanitation position or similar experience within an industrial environment.
- Good housekeeping and hygiene skills.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and thorough
- Ability to follow all safety instructions and procedures
- Must be capable of effectively and calmly communicating with co-workers and/or management regarding instructions
- Stand and walk up to 10 hours per day on concrete surfaces while performing duties
- Must be physically capable of lifting and performing the manual labor associated with the job.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50# limit.
- Work in a wet environment
- Take appropriate corrective actions as necessary or as instructed to eliminate hazards.
