MAINTENANCE MRO BUYER - HOOPESTON, IL

Target salary $65,000 to $70,000

The Maintenance MRO / Buyer position provides inventory control and parts room organization, monitors shipments received, and matches packing slips.

Writes requisitions for parts and other plant items. Maintains the plant equipment library. This position in the maintenance classification is expected to perform the job functions under minimal or no supervision.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

• Collaborates respectfully with all team members to ensure daily Safety, Quality, production, and support of our products and goals.
• Practices integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement, and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors.
• Actively participates in Teasdale Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.
• Actively participates in department / shift / team meetings and is involved with improvement / resolutions & follow-up.
• Maintains the highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
• Performs daily inspection of all PPE required, including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT / STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields, and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
• Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance with OHSA and company requirements and standards.
• Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.
• As a member of the Teasdale Company, completes his / her Behavior Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem-solving.
• As a member of the Teasdale Company, completes his / her Behavior Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem-solving.
• Ensures compliance to quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA, and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
• Communicate any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality, and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.
• Coordinates with the receiving department to match all packing slips to items received.
• Coordinates with the purchasing department to keep open purchase orders up to date with a two-month backlog.
• Searched the vendors to find the best price for plant parts.
• Completes daily Tabware entries such as work orders, equipment, and minimum / maximum levels.
• Writes requisitions for parts and other plant items.
• Maintains an organized vendor filing system.
• Keeps all shelves and cabinets clean, labeled, and / or bar-coded.
• Maintains copies of any documents that may be needed.
• Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
• Complete initial / annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as training programs / records outline.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED :

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Cheerful outlook and problem-solving mentality.
• Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal directions while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.
• Regular on-time attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
