Teamwork Englewood (TWE) Teamwork Englewood is a community-based organization that provides programming and planning for Englewood residents. The organization’s mission is to improve the Quality of life of the residents and stakeholders of Englewood by facilitating economic, educational, and social opportunities. The Englewood Quality of Life Initiative is a significant program for the organization. The residents and stakeholders created this plan to address essential Quality of Life issues in the community. This includes strategies and initiatives around 1) Education and Youth Development, 2) Workforce and Economic Development, 3) Housing and Local Population Preservation, 4) Health and Wellness, and 5) enhancing public Safety. TWE works with residents and partners to implement critical—planning and programming through the EQLI framework and priorities.
Job Summary
The Early Childhood Education Coordinator will oversee building relationships with parents/families who need to place their child in an educational setting that will teach and nurture children ages 0-4. This position requires extensive community outreach experience, and is familiar with the Englewood community. The coordinator position aims to research, recruit, and establish a professional rapport with parents, schools, organizations, and the community. The coordinator will allot fifty percent of the time to recruiting participants, twenty-five percent to researching, and twenty-five percent to the community, canvassing, and hosting community-based events. Also, attending professional development training is essential to working with the district.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Participate in meetings with Early Childhood Education stakeholders and the Education Team.
● Skills in advocacy for Early Childhood Education readiness
● Work to reach parents through culturally relevant, safe community outreach efforts.
● Refer families interested in the home-center- or school-based ECE programs.
● Follow a strategic timeline and map outlining high-need areas
● Support developing and implementing new outreach tools, approaches, and initiatives.
● Participate in advocacy efforts that lead to policy and system change.
● Support Parent leaders in outreach and recruitment efforts
● Organize and attend outreach and recruitment events, ensure prompt arrival and setup.
● Organize and ensure all data entry, tracking, and reporting are timely.
● Support parents/guardians with in-person registration support
● Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Experience and passion for the early childhood education field
● Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
● Experience working with underserved communities
● Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative fashion
● Experience and comfort in engaging with community members
● Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs
● Bachelor’s degree in social work, Early Childhood, Policy and/or Administration, or a similar degree.
● Knowledge and experience with Englewood community history, assets, and challenges
Working Conditions/Demands
Local travel is involved. The candidate must be able to transport 15-20 lbs of outreach material and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary Range: $50,000 to 55,000. Based on education and experience. The role includes health, dental, and vision benefits, as well as life insurance.
