Previous experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in an emergency department (ED) or urgent care setting is wonderful but not required. APC candidates will be required to have current ACLS and BLS certifications.
Mercy Hospital of Buffalo features a 52,000 volume emergency department. The clinicians are currently working a mix of 10, 11 and 12-hour shifts throughout the day (APC coverage is provided in the facility from 7:00am until 6:00am).
