Team Red Dog is Hiring a Treasury Analyst Near Seattle, WA

Our client, a world-class organization, is seeking an experienced Analyst to join the Treasury Department. The Analyst position will assist with reporting and operations of the internal loan and external debt portfolios. Some of the key responsibilities of this position will include updating and maintaining lending reports for the internal portfolio, financial analysis and modeling, assisting with debt issuances and related on-going compliance, and performing ad-hoc assignments as required.

Top Skills Required:

  • Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, creating formulas)
  • Microsoft Office experience (strong PowerPoint skills)
  • Organization and presentation of data and large financial datasets.

Opportunity Overview:

  • Funding capital projects at the lowest risk adjusted cost through management of the Internal Lending Program and external debt portfolio.
  • Preserving the ability to fund future capital projects.
  • Identifying risks associated with individual projects prior to the Board’s decision making.
  • Monitoring internal borrower's financial performance and internal covenant compliance.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities is essential.

Responsibilities include, but limited to:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the organization’s debt portfolios.
  • This position is responsible for monthly operations, maintaining internal loan schedules, and updating our internal debt management system.
  • Process monthly reimbursements for organization’s projects.
  • Provide accounting team updated journal vouchers and ensure loan schedules are updated as needed.
  • Assist the internal lending team and manage integration of Workday Finance data into Treasury reports and formats.
  • Aid in creating and maintaining reports monitoring borrowers through Workday Finance.
  • Assist other analysts with reporting, cash flow monitoring, and commercial paper management.
  • Create custom reports and presentations on the organization’s debt portfolio for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track use and processes related to various loan programs (i.e. Bridge/CAP/FASTER/etc.)
  • Create and maintain procedures related to operational activities.
  • Draft financing agreements for new loans approved by the Board.
  • Assisting in the issuance of debt, as well as related post-compliance needs
  • Create and file Notice of Intents (NOIs) for new or pending projects that use tax-exempt proceeds.
  • Assist with the confirmation of published financial data by the rating agencies.
  • Assist in the monitoring of use of proceeds for tax-compliance purposes including arbitrage calculations and private business use, as needed.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to measure and comply with rules and laws involving tax-exempt debt.
  • Assist with modeling of current and expected internal banking balances.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field and 3 years of applicable work experience.
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to create and maintain financial models in Excel.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills including the ability to work with, synthesize, and summarize complex data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
  • Exceptional work ethic and ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects; ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Intellectually curious and willing to ask questions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • Working understanding of Microsoft Office and strong PowerPoint skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with higher education and/or University systems
  • Familiarity with the debt markets and/or municipal finance
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting
