Team Georgia Careers is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Worker Near Milledgeville, GA

**This is a Part-time position working through our temp agency ATC Healthcare**

We are currently seeking Maintenance Tech to join our team in making a difference in the lives of our patients every day.We are located in the heart of Middle Georgia State where we enjoy abundant recreational opportunities, and a family friendly environment with good schools and opportunities for the entire family to be involved.

Summary of Duties

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Tech to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity, physical stamina, and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

·Comply with ATC/Oconee Center Policies

·Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.

·Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues

·Install appliances and equipment

·Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs

·Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)

·Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)

·Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations

·Report to a facilities manager for issues

·Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.

·Performing preventative maintenance.

·Handling basic repairs and maintenance.

·Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

·Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.

·Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

·Performs routine vehicle maintenance.

·24 hour on call as needed

Qualifications

·High School Diploma/GED

·Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position

·Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems

·Experience using hand and electrical tools

·Ability to read technical manuals and drawings

·Very good communication and interpersonal skills

·Physical stamina and dexterity

·High school diploma or equivalent

·Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required

·First Aid/BLS,CPI, Caregiver Fire Safety, Defensive Driving Certification required to maintain as part of your employment.

·Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered

·Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time. (Local Travel)

Preferred Qualifications

·Related degree from a technical college.

Knowledge & Skills

·Proven maintenance experience.

·High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

·Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.

·Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

·Ability to check, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

·Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

·Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.

·Experience performing routine maintenance.

·Strong organizational and follow up skills.

·Eye for detail.

·Professional presentation and attitude.

·Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

·Strong time management skills.

·Must be a self-started and work independently;

·Must be highly organized and efficient;

·Computer skills required (internet, word processing and spreadsheet programs);

·Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;

·Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;

·Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis;

·Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.

A high school degree or GED *and* One (1) year of experience in a skilled trade (electrical, carpentry, plumbing) or building maintenance.
