Job Description:
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their Adjunct Cosmetology Instructor position. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
The Adjunct Cosmetology Instructor position provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Cosmetology. Courses taught will include hair care, hair color, cutting and styling among others. This position also requires evaluation of student progress in attaining goals and objectives; attend staff development training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and ensure all safety and security requirements are met in trainings. Chosen candidate must have ability to work flexible hours in the daytime and possibly in the evenings as well.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, must possess basic computer skills. Georgia State Board of Barber Instructor license. Completion of program preparation in the teaching field or discipline at an accredited private or public post-secondary institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, great computer skills preferred. Georgia State Board of Barber Master license preferred. Completion of program preparation in the teaching field or discipline at an accredited private or public post-secondary institution as well as a minimum of (3) three years recent in field work experience as a barber or barber instructor.
