WHAT YOU'LL DO
TEAM seeks a Brand Ambassador to serve as a dedicated brand expert and resource focused on all things brand related in the assigned market. The Brand Ambassador is expected to work under two important umbrellas; Marketing/Brand Ambassador & Commercial Sales. You will develop and maintain relationships with accounts, trade and distributor partners. Increase brand awareness and growth through menu placements, distribution and advocacy for the brand. An entrepreneurial mentality is key to success in this role.
  • Drive brand awareness and affinity in a select group of key accounts, as well as general distribution and menu share in market
  • Motivate and inspire key industry personnel about the brands while fostering relationships and brand support
  • Strong ability to build new relationships (in addition to leverage existing relationships)
  • Educate key consumer and trade stakeholders about all aspects of the brands including brand history and heritage, the production/distillation process, as well as general category trainings (brand and category trainings will be provided upon hire)
  • Develop innovative cocktail solutions that leverage each brands individuality and personality across a variety of styles / types of accounts
  • Develop customer solutions that translate to commercial wins

Presentation Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable speaking in front crowds in a captivating, personable, influential, and articulate manner in both English and Spanish (if spoken)
  • Ability to memorize and deliver presentation and education scripts in natural and authentic manner
  • Professional and polished appearance

Administrative & Professional Responsibilities:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to self-manage time and balance budgets provided to accomplish all goals
  • Ability to stay organized, multitask & manage multiple projects at once
  • Exercise high moral character and social responsibility

WAYS TO STAND OUT IN THE CROWD

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution preferred, but not required
  • Formal mixology training and experience preferred, but not required

Special Qualifications:

  • Experience with sales and/or distributor teams is a plus. If not experienced, must demonstrate potential to learn.
  • Able to be credible with trade - bartender background, known/respected locally
  • Passionate about the beverage industry, particularly the rum category, including an understanding of trends, innovations, and current events
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish at a proficient to fluent level is a plus
  • Knowledge of Latin American and Caribbean culture and customs is a plus
