We are seeking a professional chess teacher for Preschoolers-5th grade, after school, 3:00-6:00pm. If you love chess and feel confident in creating a fun environment for learning, please fill out the application. -

Instructor Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a structured and organized learning environment
• Encourage positive interactions at all times
• Cultivate an interactive, friendly, and welcoming group dynamic
• Utilize positive behavior management and classroom management techniques

Teach Chess:

• Ability to relate well with children
• Ability to make chess fun!
• Encourage connections between chess problem-solving with real life problem-solving
• Knowledge of basic chess strategy required

Professionalism:

• Maintain positive relationships with parents, on-site staff, co-instructors, and school administration
• Promptness, punctuality and responsible conduct are requirements when working with children

Pay: $40- $60 per scheduled hour

Hours: 1-3 one-hour classes per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
