Position Summary:
The Print Production Operator will be responsible for day to day print production and maintenance of printer fleet. Internal print shop services include four color printing, cutting/trimming, work order management, UV coating/lamination, and other finishing responsibilities. This position will focus on exceptional internal/external customer service levels while improving cost efficiency and quality of work. As well as assisting in additional warehouse functions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Read and understand job tickets. Use job ticket information to ensure production is produced according to specification
- Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production
- Monitor printer efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards & make appropriate adjustments
- Assist in workflow and process improvement planning
- Must have the ability to maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines, and meet deadlines
- Observe machines in operation and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Identify workable production solutions when troubleshooting
- Ensure deadlines are maintained and company objectives are met
- Meet all performance standards and metrics aiding the ability to meet customer deliverables
- Assist in maintaining printer and inventory supplies as needed
- Must be prompt, courteous, professional and take pride in work
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area
- Understand capabilities of print shop equipment
- Ensure required assets and information are accurate prior to job execution
- Monitor equipment and supplies to ensure effective replenishments
- Pick, pack, and ship orders according to established standards
• Process external mail and other related parcel items
• Operate material handling equipment, manifest shipping system and barcode scanners
• Receive and pickup items for immediate, next day or future delivery
• Load and unload trucks. Move material utilizing pallet jack or sit down forklift
• Receive and deliver internal mail throughout the office
• Process return to stock receipts
• Assist in the slotting of high frequency inventory materials
• Responsible for maintaining the warehouse floor. Cleaning, stacking, sorting etc.
• Process inventory transactions related to the movement of goods
• Perform cycle counts as needed
• Replenish product that has been received and assigned to a bin location
• Prepare boxed or bundled materials for distribution or storage.
• Assist and advise other production departments on order fulfillment related issues
• Participate in corrective action teams to effectively manage operational issues
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate may have the following education, work history, knowledge and skills.
- Experience: Print Operations, with task management experience. Experience in a large company with well-established processes and system. Prior experience in implementing printing and finishing equipment
- Knowledge and skills: Experience with Konica Minolta Accurio Press C2070 a huge plus. Print Production equipment including: binding, paper, cutting/trimming and laminating a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent daily use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
- Frequent standing and walking.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sit for extended periods of time; including at a computer.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
- Occasional travel to out of state facility.
- Frequent short distance travel between 3 local facilities.
Work Conditions:
