Position Summary: Responsible for the general maintenance of all district schools’ facilities, and ground including all internal operating systems and controls, external maintenance, repair and installation of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and mechanical systems. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Typical Responsibilities: 1. Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.Inspects and maintains records of scheduled maintenance proceduresAssists with repairs of facilities and equipment including building renovation/remodelingReplacement and repair of door hardware and windows. Performs minor maintenance on HVAC equipment and systems, boilers, and hot water heaters such as motor lubrication, filters, belts, valves, etc.Repairs and maintains general mechanical systems and equipment in district facilities Responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, drains and pipes May perform limited asbestos removalPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested.Observes all district policies and procedures. Skill Requirements:Plumbing experience preferred.Drive a truck/vehicle, pull a trailer.Basic mechanicsBasic mathKnowledge of hand and power toolsWeldingKnowledge of various mechanical systems including HVAC.Equipment operationBasic carpentryBasic electrical Minimum Experience: One to three years in a maintenance job. Essential Physical Demands:Constant lifting 5 to 20 poundsFrequent lifting 20 to over 50 poundsConstant standing, walkingFrequent bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling.Occasional crawling, sitting, stooping.License or Certification: Colorado Driver’s License and small vehicle permit.
