Tea Island Resort is a small lakefront resort on Lake George that consists of a small motel and several homes. We are a family run business with several decades experience in the hotel industry. We are seeking a Maintenance person to oversee and maintain the grounds and lakefront operations at our small resort.

Duties:

- Keep the beach area clean on a daily basis

- Keep patios and outdoor furniture clean

- Maintain gas grills across the property

- Take care of garbage across the property on a daily basis

- Water flowers daily

- Operating the kayaks and row boats, including caring for the boats and helping guests with their use

- Address minor plumbing and electrical issues as they arise (We will contract with an electrical, plumbing, and HVAC company for any major problems. You do not need to be a qualified plumber or electrician.)

- Fix guest TV issues as they arise

- Understand and maintain the digital lock system for the rooms

- We have a company who does lawn care, but there will be occasional weed wacking and blowing that is necessary to keep the grounds in good shape.

Your resources:

1. Two large garage spaces.

2. Access to a golf cart

3. Radios for communication

4. All the necessary tools for the job are available for your use.

Qualifications:

1. The most important qualification is being dependable and showing up to work each day with a positive attitude. This is a hospitality position and you will be engaging with guests of all ages. Part of the job is being friendly to everyone, both staff and guests, at all times.

2. We need someone who is available minimum 5 days per week, but preferably 6 days during the peak summer months.

3. You must have reliable transport to and from the property each day.

4. The property is located on Lake George and is on a big hill. It's important to be in physical condition that will allow you to walk the property and perform some physical jobs like moving kayaks and row boats.

This is a family run business which is incredibly supportive of its staff. We want to find someone who we can keep long term as the primary person to maintain this beautiful property. Please inquire for an interview if you meet the qualifications.
