TE Connectivity is Hiring a Remote SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ANALYST III (Remote US)

TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). They extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. They also help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. They keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.

The Supplier Development Engineer is the owner of Supplier Development Program and Supplier Academy / Onboarding process for Quality topics. Main Responsible of Selection, Assessment and Approval Process for New Suppliers. Expert to suppliers in QMS (ISO 9001/AS9100D), LEAN Tools, Problem Solving Tools, TE System. Support SQE and Procurement in Supplier Cost Improvement Workshops

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Supplier Development Program at selected Suppliers.
  • Perform Potential Analysis at new suppliers (VDA6.3 Potential Analysis)
  • Verifies CQI certifications when applicable.
  • Support suppliers for System Development according to AS9100D when applicable
  • Monitors Supplier’s performance during the Supplier Development Program and escalates to SQE / Procurement if required.
  • Training Experts within SQ Function. Owner of Supplier Academy and Onboarding Process for Quality.
  • Collaborate with SQE to provide onboarding training for new suppliers on TE systems and procedures.
  • Supports Supplier Selection and Approval Business Process

What your background should look like:

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience within manufacturing.
  • Expert Knowledge on ISO 9001, LEAN Tools and other continuous improvement functions.
  • Certified ISO9001/AS9100D.
  • Problem Solving Tools
  • 6 Sigma Blackbelt experience at minimum.
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience.
  • Supplier Development experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in a matrix environment
  • Knowledge on specific product and process as required (e.g. Molding, Stamping, Mechanical Assembly, PAB/PCBA…)
  • Expert level with the tools related to supplier APQP process, include but not limited to PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, R@R and 8D methodology.
  • Ability to work across cultures and geographies effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of Problem-Solving tools (5-Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis)
  • Auditor Skills
  • SAP basic knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Strong Communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong Coaching skills
  • Business acumen regarding part cost structure / breakdown
  • Job requires regular travels
  • English fluent in written and verbal

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $t82,720k - 124,080k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected
candidate as well as internal and external equity.
