TE Connectivity is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager Near Wilsonville, OR

Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
The TEOA (TE Operations Advantage) Manager will be responsible for leading and guiding the TEOA deployment strategy for the TE Medical Oregon Facility in Wilsonville, OR. She/he will apply the lean knowledge in all operations areas, such as production, quality, material, maintenance, environment, safety, purchasing and others to address improvements in the service model and productivity. Overall TEOA lead for site, driving their TEOA journey.
Responsibilities
  • Create a comprehensive strategy/plan, highlighting milestones to achieve a world-class operation, through the deployment of TEOA programs. (TEOA Star Level progression)
  • Create, plan, lead and follow-up of the TEOA implementation plan and ensure TEOA actions are visual to stakeholders and are driven to a sustainable closure. (Sustainable execution of strategy)
  • Facilitate TEOA Kaizen events throughout the site
  • Support and mentor TEOA Practitioners / Kaizen Facilitators to enable them to succeed in the TEOA deployment.
  • Assist in defining and support TEOA standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Build talent within the site, driving a training program from Novice to Masters of TEOA.
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
  • 8 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering.
  • Previous experience leading and transforming operations at the site or value stream level.
  • Strong background in lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing lean tools, such as: 5S 1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover and TPM essential.
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management
  • Strong team leader, ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results.
  • Analytically, data-driven and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to have a holistic overview of complex situations and flexibility to deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as grinding, cabling, coiling, extrusion and manual assembly a plus.
  • 0%-10% - Very limited travel

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $107,920 - $161,880 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
