Job Summary

Software Application Specialist II is responsible for achieving excellent project results, delivering on project commitments, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Diagnose and resolve network communication problems and perform system upgrades and enhancements for customers of assigned projects.

Essential Duties

• Provide the installation, implementation, and commissioning of graphic workstations, global system programming and BMS networks as laid out in Controls drawings, building plans, and specifications. 
• Create and update workstation system graphic user interfaces. 
• Provide integration of equipment databases and controller points from project specific equipment. 
• Set up, validate, and commission equipment schedules, point trends and histories. 
• Create, implement, edit and commission BMS system user interface graphics. 
• Install, replace and re-commission system software and global programming; provide customer training on systems. 
• Diagnose and resolve network communication problems; diagnose and troubleshoot software and network hardware issues, analyze and optimize BAS system operation, and perform system software upgrades and software enhancements.
• Set up, validate, and commission equipment schedules, point trends and histories. 
• Communicate any necessary issues with supervisor and Controls team. 
• Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service at assigned projects. 

Minimum Requirements

• 6 yrs. of experience in a controls feild technician role and/or experience programming and implementing graphic workstations. 
• Tridium wiresheet logic programming capabilities. 
• Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet.
• Experience with Siemens or Distech controller products is preferred.
