Highlands Urgent Care is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join our team of dedicated and compassionate urgent care providers. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with other health professionals.

Responsibilities of Physician
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to walk-in patients of all ages
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, such as infections, injuries, allergies, asthma, diabetes, etc.
- Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, etc.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as labs, x-rays, EKGs, etc.
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education and follow-up instructions
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Collaborate with other urgent care providers, nurses, medical assistants, and staff
- Adhere to clinical protocols, policies, and procedures
- Maintain current licensure, certification, and credentialing
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities
Qualifications of Physician
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- At least one year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a related field
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
