TCI is looking for Level 3 or 4 Diesel Technician / Mechanics for our Busy Fleet Shop

26.20 to $36.00 / hour - based on position and experience
Level 3 Diesel Technician Qualifications: 4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
You will generally assist in the repair and diagnosis of major components or remove/replace major components of various truck and trailer equipment at the direction of Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor. Expectations include the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little or no supervision: Clutches, PTO Systems, Electric Systems, Hydraulic/ Air Brake Systems, Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems, Instruments and Gauges, and Preventive Maintenance Service.
Level 4 Diesel Technician Qualifications: 6 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
You will diagnose, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment including, but not limited to the following: Engines (gas and diesel), Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials/Power dividers, PTO systems, Starters/Alternators, Refrigeration systems, Air conditioning systems (including cold and hot units), Fan clutches, Engine electronics (gas/diesel), Power steering systems, and Steering gear box (manual and power).
Below is a brief description of what you can expect.

• Preventative Maintenance at the shop and customer's facilities when required
• General maintenance, PMs and vehicle inspections.
• Diagnostic/troubleshooting and repairs on different levels
• California 90 day BIT & Federal USDOT inspections
• Must own your own tools and tool programs available
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Pass background & drug screen
• Trade school, mechanical course and or hands on experience
• Self-motivated & Leadership skills a plus
• Physically able to perform all facets of mechanical and technical skills
