Position Summary

We are currently seeking an energetic self-starter with a curious mind and a collaborative spirit to join the Evaluation and Learning team as a full-time Associate Consultant, Evaluation and Learning.

As an evaluation and Learning Team we help our philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate partners use data to inform strategic and programmatic decision making, enhance the capacity and effectiveness of their organization, and improve programs in order to achieve greater social impact. The Associate Consultant, Evaluation and Learning role is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in making a social impact by conducting high quality data analyses and working with clients to integrate findings into their work. Our client engagements are dynamic and diverse and the Associate Consultant will support a variety of evaluation projects that vary in length and type of evaluation. In this role, the Associate Consultant will utilize database management, writing, research, and analysis skills to help us meet the unique challenges and opportunities faced by our social sector clients. 

This position will be a hybrid position, based in either our NYC or Philadelphia offices, with flexibility to work from home.

Note: TCC requires all our employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and will require proof of vaccination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement quantitative and qualitative resource tools for data collection.
  • Collect primary and secondary data, including literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, and administer surveys and questionnaires.
  • Clean, analyze, synthesize, interpret, and summarize both qualitative and quantitative data. 
  • Structure and manage large data sets to find usable information, including leading database management of longitudinal datasets.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, proposals, and other correspondence. 
  • Prepare data appendices, graphs, and other visualization of data. 
  • Create an array of presentations to report findings and lessons learned (e.g., Word reports, PPT slide decks, etc.).
  • Coordinate the production and dissemination of work products, including client deliverables, from start to finish. 
  • Provide day-to-day support to Consultant staff on a range of projects as needed. 

 Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate to advanced coding skills and experience with R.
  • Intermediate to advanced coding skills and experience with other programing languages such as Python and/or SQL.
  • Beginner to intermediate skills using cloud-based environments.
  • Intermediate data visualization skills.
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques.
  • Strong research skills (including tracking research, citations, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with significant experience using quantitative and qualitative data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, R, Atlas.ti, etc.).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and data management skills.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with the social sector (nonprofit and/or philanthropy).
  • Intermediate or advanced data visualization skills, including using tools such as Tableau, GIS, and LucidChart software.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based stools such as Air Table, AWS Redshift, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of online survey software (e.g., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.).
  • Knowledge of network analysis techniques and tools, including Gephi and social network analysis packages in R and Python.
  • Knowledge of augmented and artificial intelligence methods and tools used to support research and evaluation (e.g, natural language modeling, machine learning).

TCC Group offers a competitive and equitable total compensation package. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, 401k retirement plan with employer match, disability, life insurance, a generous paid time off, and more. The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $68,000 commensurate with experience.
