Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Fermentation Production Worker to support the Supply Chain team to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks and operates weigh scales. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform activities such as blending beverages, documenting ingredients, handling raw materials, creating material usage reports, completing CIP for all blend tanks, sanitizing all tanks and operates weigh scales.
  • Weigh and blend raw ingredients to blend card specifications, up to 25 per ingredients per flavor.
  • Operate and monitor machinery used in the production process – pumps, filtration equipment, etc.
  • Operate blending and pasteurizing equipment while maintaining FDA regulated pasteurization procedures.
  • Initiate and monitor fermentation processes and document quality checks as required.
  • Monitor and document all quality control checkpoints including ingredient traceability.

(raw, finished, ingredients, storage and transportation conditions).

  • Perform autonomous maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, lubrication, sources of contamination, etc.
  • Maintain good manufacturing practices, housekeeping standards and safety precautions.
  • Manage inventory of raw ingredients via SOX required cycle count processes.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of plant’s programs and initiatives (i.e.: SFTPM).
  • Ship and receive SFG concentrate totes and raw ingredients.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Experience blending and mixing of raw materials a must
    • Minimum 1 year recent work experience in a manufacturing facility, food production preferred
    • Knowledge of basic math & problem solving
    • Must have basic computing skills to operate and interface with manufacturing software
    • Ability to listen, understand, communicate written and verbal information and ideas
    • Ability to operate equipment and machines in an industrial environment
    • Ability to perform work within established guidelines and in a safe manner
    • Ability to work independently and in teams
    • Ability to work any shift and overtime (including weekends)
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
    • Forklift experienced or able to be certified (provide in-house certification)
    • Knowledge of SAP data entry/reporting a plus

Pay for this position is $23.50/hr
