Job Title: Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategic Planning
Location: Houston, TX
Brief Description:
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for the development of the company's detailed annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and ad hoc strategic analysis. Provide financial insights, identify trends, and support the strategic decision-making process to drive the company's financial performance and growth. This position will also work closely with business leaders and key stakeholders across the company to align strategic initiatives and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and Strategic Planning will report to the Sr. Director, Finance Planning & Analysis.
Detailed Description:
  • Oversee, support, and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast.
  • Identify key drivers and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership or improving financial performance.
  • Lead relevant and accurate analytical reviews of the results and Key performance metrics, including benchmark analysis of key competitors.
  • Oversee and evaluate and analyze potential transactions, including preparation of detailed financial models.
  • Support analysis of and preparation of materials for various corporate finance activities including, bank loans, capital market transactions, liability management and rating agency presentations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports of business segments and cost centers.
  • Prepare annual budget board materials and quarterly business updates.
  • Prepare monthly Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) variance analysis, including commentary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Analyze costs, expenses, and profitability across all business units.
  • Ensure compliance with financial accounting standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis processes.
  • System administration for Oracle EPBCS/OneStream module including user training and system enhancements.
  • Leverage technology and tools to automate and streamline financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead Ad hoc analyses, financial modeling, and other projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and highly developed business acumen with strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build effective teams.
  • Team player with ability to work with colleagues at all levels, including senior management and peers.
  • Work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered.

  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to run reports and complete analysis. Experienced in MS Office to include Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Maintain company and employee confidentiality at alltimes and handle sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or business-related field
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate finance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or CFA a plus
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, NAV, & OneStream
Additional Details:
Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
