King Ranch is Hiring a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Near Houston, TX

What to Expect in the Role: 

  • Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and forecast future financial results.
  • Partner with operational heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Design, develop, and implement return metrics appropriate for the various business segments.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO to prepare materials for board meetings and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Work with the director of business development to evaluate investment opportunities, assess return metrics and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
  • Key Relationships include Chief Financial Officer. Chief Executive Officer, Operational Heads, Director of Corporate Development, Finance team and the Board of Directors. 

What We Will Be Needing From You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing a team.
  • Prior experience working with JD Edwards and proficiency in OneStream are highly desirable.
  • Experience in the agriculture industry is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
