King Ranch is Hiring a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Near Houston, TX
What to Expect in the Role:
Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and forecast future financial results.
Partner with operational heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Design, develop, and implement return metrics appropriate for the various business segments.
Collaborate closely with the CFO to prepare materials for board meetings and strategic initiatives.
Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.
Work with the director of business development to evaluate investment opportunities, assess return metrics and support strategic growth initiatives.
Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
Key Relationships include Chief Financial Officer. Chief Executive Officer, Operational Heads, Director of Corporate Development, Finance team and the Board of Directors.
What We Will Be Needing From You:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing a team.
Prior experience working with JD Edwards and proficiency in OneStream are highly desirable.
Experience in the agriculture industry is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
